EIGHT 360, a company based in New Zealand, has presented its new product, NOVA VR MOTION PLATFORM. VR provides impressive video experiences bringing the virtual into real.
As the company says, the simulator is suitable for educational and training purposes. Nevertheless, it also can be used for amusement and the platform is already integrated with a host of PC based games and simulators, including DCS:World, X-Plane and NoLimits2 – Roller Coaster simulator.
Compact in size as well as weight, the 1100 pounds’ simulator is easily movable from venue to venue. It imitates the sensations of acceleration, deceleration, turning forces, bumps,and even crashes.
Terry Miller, the founder and the CEO of Nova 360 revealed that they don’t expect the innovation to be on the market any time soon. “We’re looking to lease them as hardware as a service model,” said Miller in discussion with NewAtlas. “With ongoing maintenance and upgrades. It’ll be on the order of $150.000 a year. So heavy, yeah.”
