Landspeed collection, Rolls Royce is celebrating the pioneering feat, comprised of 35 examples of Wraith Black Badge and 25 Dawn Black Badge automobiles.
Both cars have a Starlight Headliner with the exact position of the stars on the night of Eyston’ record-breaking run, who briefly held the record at over 350 MPH in the Thunderbolt, an aerodynamic powerhouse using two Rolls-Royce R V12 aero engines, designed specifically for air racing. Between 1937 and 1939, Captain George Eyston and fellow Englishman John Cobb battled for the land-speed world record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
