NEW LIMITED EDITION OF AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK JUMBO EXTRA-THIN
The direct descendant of the 1972 original Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch is new modern version of the AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK JUMBO EXTRA-THIN. Ultra-thin and identically proportioned need no introduction anymore. Its white steel inaugural concept was replaced with the use of precious metals later. The new editions retain all the classic elements of the Jumbo case and bracelet, which means a thin and reasonably large case with measurements 39mm by 8.1 mm. The shapes, the bezel, and the crown are recognizable, with the octagonal-shaped bezel, eight white gold screws, and a finishing combining straight brushed surfaces and polished accents. The bracelet is also the classic RO version, thin and superbly executed, equipped with an AP-shaped folding clasp. The choice of materials is what makes these watches unique in design. The 15206PT is crafted in 950 platinum, and the 15207OR is made of 18k pink gold.
Apart from the different materials used for the case and the bracelet, the dials of the new Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin Yoshida editions stand out with a ‘tuxedo-like’ attire. The dial of both the 15206PT and 15207OR are made from smooth black onyx. The hands are still classically shaped and made of pink gold or white gold, to match the case material. The date window at 3 o’clock is retained. Another update regards the hour markers, now displayed with 11 diamonds.
Powering these two Yoshida editions is the same movement found inside all Royal Oak Jumbo Extra-Thin models: caliber 2121. Derived from the original Jaeger-LeCoultre movement of the 1972 model, caliber 2121 is now produced internally by Audemars Piguet.

The open case-back reveals the beauty of this caliber with a 21k gold skeletonized rotor and beautiful decoration of all the parts. The case-back is engraved with the limitation (x/70) of the watch.
The new models would only be sold at Yoshida, one of the oldest watch retailers, based in Tokyo. The platinum model is limited on 70 pieces only; the price is on the request. The gold model is limited to 30 pieces, and the price is at USD 63.000.
