The original’s two-cylinder boxer engine was maintained which happens to be the most powerful with a torque of 116lb ft at 3000 rpm and 91 hp at 4750 rpm with large design in the exterior. Dispatching the unnecessary elements to streamline the retro-inspired model, Sands eliminated the back end in the process.
“With an engine that’s so visibly the centerpiece, I immediately thought of muscle cars,” Sands told Autoblog. “My family has always been into going fast, and my dad was a drag racer, so I thought it made sense to strip the bike down to the essentials and shape it to go fast on a straight track.”

Some of the features on the R18 were replaced to make it more efficient and more modern looking. For Sands and his team, the difficult aspect was the on-board electronics system. Yet, this redesigned version will definitely offer a joy ride.
So bike lovers, another chance to enjoy the wind in your face.
