Lake Como Italy
Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy with a maximum depth of approximately 410 m. and it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe. Located at the foot of the Alps it provides one of the most picturesque sceneries in the world. The perimeter of the lake is studded with enchanting villages and towns where you can wander the streets and do some shopping or visit the restaurants, bars, or nearby places of interest. You can take a boat trip and experience the lake first-handed and visit the towns around. Tou can enjoy the beaches during summer and some of the beaches have the opportunity of sailing and windsurfing. Lake Como is also a paradise for garden lovers and historic villas. However, whatever is your preference; Lake Como has it all to make your stay memorable.
Lake Maggiore Italy
The second-largest lake in Italy lake Maggiore or Verbano is situated between Italy and Switzerland. The climate is mild and the area is filled with Mediterranean vegetation and exotic plants. The lake was even mentioned in Ernest Hemingway’s famous novel A Farewell to Arms. The charming villages around the lake, Laveno, Leggiuno, Isola Bella, Isola Madre, and Angera offer enjoyment and interesting places to visit accompanied by the stunning views of the lake and the Alps. Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso is used as a monastery, but the visitors can visit the building. Isola Bella one of the islands is an ancient fishing village and it is a beautiful oasis with a baroque palace and magnificent garden full of exotic plants. In Angera you can visit imposing medieval fortress with beautiful 15th-century frescoes and the Doll Museum.
Lake Garda Italy
The biggest lake in Italy, Lake Garda is a family paradise where you can enjoy water sports. A year-round temperate climate allows the olives and lemons to grow north of their usual range which makes it perfect for a holiday. The turbulent history provides well-fortified castles, Roman remains, and sites of World War II. Long sandy beaches, clear water, beautiful towns with shops, restaurants, hotels, bars assure that it will be a perfect holiday.
